OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP 2008

LEXUS SPONSORSHIP OF THE OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP 2008

In 2008, Lexus is proud to be sponsoring The Open Championship for the fourth year in a row. “The Open”, undoubtedly one of the world’s top golfing events, returns to The Royal Birkdale Golf Club in Northwest England for the ninth time.

From July 17-20th 2008, The Royal Birkdale Golf Club plays host to the 137th Open Championship, the world’s oldest golf tournament. Last held at the seaside course ten years ago, Mark O’Meara, then aged 41, won a play off against the little known American Brian Watts. Now in 2008, once again the world’s top golfers will gather to do battle for the famous Claret Jug.

As an Official Patron and the Car Supplier to The Open Championship, Lexus can invite guests to enjoy exclusive hospitality over the four days of the event. The Patron’s hospitality marquee will have a prime position overlooking the 18th Fairway and is now regarded as one of the world’s best sporting hospitality experiences.
