STARTING FROM A COMPLETELY BLANK CANVAS, THE AIM WAS TO CREATE THE SUPREME DRIVING EXPERIENCE – AND, THE ULTIMATE EXPRESSION OF OUR DESIGN PHILOSOPHY: L-FINESSE. EACH ONE OF THE TEN THOUSAND COMPONENTS IS UNIQUE, EXCLUSIVE AND ASSEMBLED ESPECIALLY FOR IT – OFTEN BY HAND.
The result of ten years of dreaming, innovating, designing and engineering, the LFA pushes the boundaries of what is possible to the limit. Take, for example, the sleek, aerodynamic body. In early prototypes this was made from aluminium, but even that lightweight metal was deemed to be too heavy to achieve the ultimate performance.
So instead an inspired decision was made to replace it with a specially formulated, ultra-light, but immensely tough Carbon Fibre Reinforced Plastic (CFRP). Rather than source this unique material from elsewhere, we developed our own innovative carbon loom manufacturing process to ensure stringent quality control.
