WHAT IS LEXUS' COMMITMENT?
A Lexus Extended Warranty is similar to the warranty you get with a brand new vehicle, but it applies to the vehicle you own already, whether you were the first owner or you bought it pre-owned. The Extended Warranty can be renewed until the vehicle is 7 years old, and if a part covered by the warranty suffers electrical or mechanical failure at any time during the term, Lexus is committed to fixing it. It’s as simple as that – you don’t pay for replacement parts or labour.
WHAT DO LEXUS EXPECT IN RETURN?
Your vehicle must be serviced and inspected by an authorised Lexus Centre at least once a year or more frequently for high mileage use, as set out in your service record booklet. Regular servicing means your vehicle is safer, more reliable and more enjoyable to drive. It can also help to increase the vehicle’s value when you come to sell it.
IS THERE A CHOICE OF WARRANTIES?
You have a choice between 12 or 24 months cover. The 24 month option will show a saving over two 12 month warranties and is available from your Lexus Centre.
IS THE A MILEAGE RESTRICTION?
Unlike many warranty schemes, our unlimited mileage cover places no restriction on your annual mileage. No matter how far you drive, your Lexus Centre will be happy to assist.
CAN I PAY IN INSTALMENTS?
Yes, our easy payment terms allow you to purchase a 1 or 2 year warranty over 10 months by direct debit, at no extra charge. You can also pay by credit card or cheque.
WHO CARRIES OUT REPAIRS?
Any authorised Lexus Centre will carry out repair work for you under a Lexus warranty, so you can choose which Centre you deal with. You can enjoy peace of mind knowing that Lexus trained technicians will fit only Lexus genuine parts.
WHAT HAPPENS IF THE CAR IS OFF THE ROAD?
Our warranties are designed to keep you on the road. If your vehicle is confined to the garage because a covered part has failed, you can claim up to five days vehicle hire to a maximum of £75 a day (including VAT) after the first 24 hours.
WHAT HAPPENS AWAY FROM HOME?
If you break down away from home and your vehicle can’t be driven, your Lexus warranty will minimise inconvenience by allowing you to claim one night’s hotel accommodation up to £150 (including VAT).
WHAT ABOUT EUROPE?
Your warranty will also cover your repair bills in most European countries. You pay for the repair and reclaim your costs when you return to the UK.
WHAT HAPPENS IF THE CAR FAILS AN MOT TEST?
In the unlikely event your vehicle fails its MOT test, a Lexus warranty will protect you against unexpected repair bills. As long as the vehicle is repaired and then passes, your warranty will pay for repairs or replacement of covered parts, up to the vehicle’s purchase price. All you have to pay is the original test fee, any re-test fee and the first £10 of any repair.
IS A LEXUS WARRANTY TRANSFERABLE?
Yes, Lexus warranties are fully transferable. For a £25 fee, a new owner can enjoy the same benefits if you decide to sell your vehicle during the warranty’s lifetime – giving a genuine boost to vehicle’s resale value.
