Warranties

Every new Lexus comes with a three-year/60,000-mile warranty cover, whichever comes first with no mileage limitation for the first year. Lexus Hybrid vehicles are provided with five-year/60,000-mile hybrid component warranty. Any defect that is attributable to a manufacturing or assembly defect under normal use is covered by the warranty.

The warranty covers:

• Any defect attributable to a manufacturing or assembly fault
• Surface rust and paint defects appearing on any of the painted body panels due to a fault in material or workmanship
• All parts and labour

Twelve years of coverage is provided against bodywork perforation (i.e. any holes through the bodywork from inside to outside) due to corrosion that is attributable to faults in material or workmanship. Bodywork includes bonnet, doors, boot lid and floor panel, but excludes parts attached to the body, such as mouldings, bumpers and hinges.

The warranty does not cover:

Normal noise, vibration, wear and tear and deterioration such as discoloration, fading, deformation Normal maintenance services such as engine tune-ups, replacement of fluids and filters, lubrication, cleaning and polishing, replacement of spark plugs, tungsten bulbs and fuses and replacement of worn wiper blades, brake pads/lining and clutch linings. But, if these services are required as part of a warranty repair, they are covered by the warranty.

Extended warranty covers:

Owners can extend the standard warranty for their new Lexus by 12 or 24 months. There are no restrictions on mileage and cover is available at any time until the car is seven years old and has covered 140,000 miles. For more details, please contact your local Lexus Centre.

• Three-year surface rust and paintwork warranty - for surface rust and paint defects due to a fault in material or workmanship
• Twelve year corrosion performance warranty - Providing twelve years’ coverage against bodywork perforation due to corrosion that is attributable to faults in material or workmanship.
• Five year hybrid component warranty - Certain components within the hybrd drivetrain have a five year or 60,000 mile warranty.
