We apply the Kaizen philosophy to our own UK facilities. Through continuous improvement we have reduced our carbon footprint* year on year, and in doing so received Carbon Trust accreditation, becoming one of the first vehicle manufacturers to do so.

Following on from this we have pledged to reduce our carbon footprint by a further 20% by the end of 2013**.

In 2011 alone we have reduced our carbon footprint in our UK owned sites by 19% and in our Epsom Headquarters, we have achieved Zero Waste to Landfill.

This builds on our annual tradition of holding a ‘green month’ in June. We’ve done this since 1973 in Japan and since 2008 in the UK, raising the level of environmental awareness and involvement from our staff.
