TOUCH-SCREEN NAVIGATION

The IS takes in-car navigation to another level. Using a Hard Disc Drive (HDD) to store map information for nearly all of Europe, the highly advanced system offers a dual map display - large-scale and small-scale. The 7"colour touch-screen, Electro Multi-Vision (EMV), display is intuitive to use, with crisp and easy to follow graphics.

You can tell the system where you want to go by address, stored destination or points of interest. The leading-edge software can offer you a variety of routes and will calculate your estimated journey time. Once you have selected your desired route, the system will seamlessly guide you through your journey. A Full Map Satellite Navigation package is available as an option on the SE and SE-I grades. This package features a 6-CD, 13-speaker, AM/FM audio system with 7” Electro Multi-Vision (EMV VGA) display screen, pan-Europe satellite navigation, Bluetooth and rear parking assist camera.

The SE-L models offer the option of the Multimedia package, which includes a Mark Levinson Premium Surround System (14 speakers, 6-DVD autochanger, AM/FM radio), 7” EMV VGA display screen, pan-Europe satellite navigation, Bluetooth and Dynamic Route Guidance (DRG). With maps covering all of Western Europe, DRG can direct you to addresses, stored destinations and points of interest, and presents the results clearly on the full-colour display. In countries with Dynamic Route Guidance facilities, the navigation unit is constantly updated with the very latest traffic information, notifying you of congestion and delays and suggesting alternative routes.

Please note: The advanced Lexus navigation system is part of the multimedia and navigation package, available as a cost option for IS models.
