LS 460 and LS 600h models are fitted with eight strategically placed airbags as standard: two-stage front airbags including a twin-chamber passenger airbag, driver and front passenger knee airbags, front side airbags and full length side curtain airbags.
These sensor-controlled airbags work in combination with seatbelts, which feature pre-tensioners for the front and outer rear seats.
The LS 600h L has ten airbags as standard, as rear side airbags are additionally specified. These can be ordered optionally for LS 460 and LS 600h models.
The optional rear seat relaxation package for the LS 600h L features a revolutionary seat cushion airbag. It activates during frontal impact and, by inflating the front of the seat base, helps prevent the occupant sliding forward.
