AIR SUSPENSION

Electronically controlled air suspension provides even greater refinement and stability. The auto-levelling function enables the new RX to automatically maintain a level posture regardless of the number of occupants or luggage on board.

In addition to auto-levelling, air suspension provides four vehicle height settings. Three modes (Hi, Normal and Lo) are for use while driving and the newly added fourth mode (Loading) can be used when the vehicle is stationary.

Hi mode: The vehicle height is raised by approximately 30 mm compared to normal. This mode is appropriate when driving over rougher terrain.

Normal mode: This is suitable for regular driving conditions. When higher speeds are reached, the vehicle height drops to the equivalent of Lo mode for improved aerodynamics and stability.

Lo mode: The vehicle height is lowered by approximately 20 mm at the front and by 5 mm at the rear. This effectively reduces the roll angle when cornering.

Loading mode: The new RX is lowered by approximately 30 mm compared to normal mode. This improves convenience when loading or unloading items or when entering or exiting the vehicle.

Please note: Air suspension is not standard on all RX models.
