RETRACTABLE ROOF

The SC 430’s retractable aluminium roof is an example of how we try to apply advanced technology and thoughtful engineering to produce elegant simplicity. Lowering or raising the roof is achieved at the press of a button.

With no latches, operation couldn’t be simpler: to lower the fully automatic retractable roof, simply press ‘Open’ and hold the button down.

The side and quarter windows are lowered and the boot lid hinges back to reveal the roof storage compartment. As the roof starts to open, the parcel shelf moves up and forward. This creates space for the roof and the rear window to neatly fold away. The parcel shelf then returns to its original position. The boot lid closes gently and the transformation is complete.
