If you're thinking of buying a new Lexus, by ordering now you’ve got the best chance of beating the Vehicle Excise Duty (VED) road tax increase on 1st April 2017.
From 1st April 2017, road tax will be increasing by £140 as a standard rate on all vehicles per year, with an additional charge of £310 for any vehicles over £40,000. Further details can be found on the government new vehicle tax rates page. If you buy and register your car before 1 April 2017, you won't be affected by these changes.
Road tax needs to be paid out annually over a 3-year PCP contract, which could mean you'll be paying out hundreds of pounds. However, this only applies to cars bought and registered after 1st April 2017; therefore there is still time to avoid this road tax increase by registering your new vehicle before 1st April 2017.
