BENEFITS OF ELECTRIC CARS

Low Benefit in Kind (BIK) rates, no road tax, government incentives and exemption from London's Congestion Charge are just more reasons to choose electric with Lexus.

INCENTIVES FOR PURCHASING ELECTRIC CARS

Electric cars may also benefit from local incentives such as access to lower emission zones, free parking or even free charging. Electric cars currently receive a 100% discount on the London Congestion Charge.

In terms of road tax, electric vehicles currently fall into the lowest VED band which is £0. Vehicles that have zero CO2 emissions benefit from 2% BIK rate (2022/23 tax year). You may also be eligible for an interest-free Electric Vehicle Loan in Scotland.

HOW LONG DOES FAST CHARGING TAKE?

The rate of charge depends primarily on the power of the unit.

DC (Direct Current) Rapid Charger can charge a UX 300e from 0-80% in as little as 52 minutes*.

AC (Alternating Current) Charger can fully recharge (0-100%) a UX 300e overnight in around 8 hours and 15 minutes^.

The UX 300e can be recharged using industry standard AC charging (Type 2 or Mennekes connection) and DC Rapid Charging cables (CHAdeMO type).

REMOTE CHARGING WITH LEXUS LINK+

There is an array of connected services developed for your electric car. When charging at home you can use your smartphone to remotely set the time you want charging to commence, the level of charge or even schedule that charging be completed by a set time. Other remote services include setting the climate control so that it’s just the right temperature on chilly mornings.
