BENEFITS

HOW SAFE ARE ELECTRIC CARS?

Confidence and trust are an integral part of an amazing driving experience. The Lexus electric motor has been tried and tested over many millions of miles by master drivers who have helped refine every aspect of performance.

All cars come equipped with our advanced Lexus Safety System + and you enjoy greater control due to a better balance from the optimal placement of items such as batteries and electric motors. All Lexus electrics are carefully designed to be isolated and to be disabled in an accident. Steer-by-wire technology removes the need for a mechanical link, providing you with an unfettered steering sensation and truly responsive touch.

HOW LONG DOES FAST CHARGING TAKE?

The rate of charge depends primarily on the power of the unit. A 50kW DC Charger can charge a UX 300e up to 80% in as little as 52 minutes. AC Fast Charging points (7kW) can fully recharge a UX 300e overnight in 8 hours. The UX 300e can be recharged using industry standard AC charging (Type 2 or Mennekes connection) and DC Fast Charging (CHAdeMO type).

BENEFITS

DO ELECTRIC CARS HAVE ZERO EMISSIONS?

15 years of pioneering research has resulted in an electric vehicle that doesn’t emit any CO₂, NOx or other pollutants at the tailpipe. The total emissions of the vehicle will depend on how the electricity used to charge the car is generated. When your battery reaches the end of its lifespan, we have a take-back scheme to ensure it’s recycled safely and responsibly.

BENEFITS

HOW LOW ARE THE RUNNING COSTS?

The savings start as soon as you begin driving. Diesel and petrol are removed from the equation meaning you are no longer at the mercy of the world’s oil prices. Electricity costs tend to be more stable and can be as low as 7p per kWh.

There will be costs when it comes to fuel, servicing and maintaining your electric car. However, electric cars are easier to maintain compared to a conventional combustion vehicle due to the absence of an engine. Some regions offer discounted or even free parking or charging.

HOW QUIET IS THE ENGINE?

Early morning starts and late night adventures can be had without waking the neighbourhood. The electric drivetrain carries out its impressive work with barely a whisper.

For the driver inside the cabin it‘s a uniquely calming experience, with just the low hum of rubber on asphalt to indicate the powerful forces at play. The future sounds serene.
