The security of you and your car is important to us, which is why we have a number of advanced features on our new cars to keep your car as secure as possible.
Advanced security platform
We are committed to doing everything we can to keep our customers cars secure. All current production Lexus cars are built on an enhanced security platform developed to reduce the risk of car theft. Our security exceeds required standards by Thatcham, the UK’s only not-for-profit automotive risk intelligence organisation.
Industry approved alarm and immobiliser systems
Approved by Thatcham, all of our new cars are fitted with a category 1 alarm and immobiliser system as standard.
Motion sensor keys
New Lexus cars benefit from the inclusion of a motion sensor key. This means that the key 'goes to sleep' after a period of 4 minutes of being left unattended, thereby reducing the risk of particular types of car theft.
Enhancing Security for All Customers
For owners of existing Lexus models, we offer support to enhance your car's security. You may qualify for a security upgrade, and your local Centre can assist you with this process.

Secure your car remotely
Download our Lexus Link+ app, and we'll notify you if your car is left unlocked. You can even lock your car remotely.

Keep your car locked and keys secure
Ensure your car is locked and your keys are secure at all times. If needed utilise the remote locking feature available on our app. Safeguard keys by keeping them hidden and out of plain view. If you own an existing model, a ‘faraday pouch’ can help to further secure your keys.

Locate your car
In unfamiliar surroundings, the Lexus Link+ app can assist you in locating your car using your preferred navigation app. You can also securely share your car's location with anyone who may need it.
We take the issue of car theft very seriously. We are continuously developing technical solutions to make our vehicles more secure to help reduce the risk of theft.

For existing models we are creating solutions that can offer enhanced protection to our customers. This includes the heavily discounted fitting of tracker devices to all model through our close partnership with Tracker™. Should a vehicle be stolen this ensures swift recovery of vehicles to disrupt criminal activity.
