      The flared wings express power and accentuate the large 18" wheels*, while short overhangs and a bold tightening around the rear doors evokes dynamic performance.       MOCHI-INSPIRED DESIGN
      For the LBX, Lexus designers looked for ways to emphasise and visualise the compact SUV’s low centre of gravity. Here they were inspired by the traditional Japanese “Kagami-mochi” rice cake sweets that are offered to the gods in Japan every New Year. Using rice cakes to model their thoughts, placing a compact cabin on top of the powerful underbody, the centre of gravity appears to move downward.
