Lexus named Best Car Brand in the 2019 Which Awards Hero image



Lexus has been named Best Car Brand in the 2019 Which? Awards, in recognition of its industry-leading technology and the high quality of its vehicles. It also received five-star ratings for reliability across its range and four cars commended with ‘Best Buy’ status. Fittingly, the award coincides with the 30th anniversary of the founding of the Lexus brand.

Which?, Britain’s leading champion of consumer rights and independent reviewer of products and services, honoured Lexus in a number of areas, including technology and reliability.

A Which? report, based on its own extensive tests and consumer feedback on reliability from more than 40,000 car owners, named the Lexus RX in the prized ‘Our Pick’ spot. As well as being noted for ticking all of the boxes as a luxury SUV, Which? positions the range-topping Lexus hybrid SUV as “one of the most reliable new cars you can buy”.

Another class leader, the Lexus CT 200h, took top spot as the Which? ‘Our Pick’ medium car. Survey results show that 94 per cent of CT 200h remain trouble-free in the first three years of ownership.

The Which? Car Guide places Lexus as its carmaker of the year in its brand reliability table, with 64 per cent of Lexus models on sale receiving ‘Best Buy’ status.

Lexus is long-established as a technology leader in the luxury car market with its pioneering development of self-charging hybrid power. UK sales are up by more than 11% to date in 2019, compared to 2018’s performance.
